Birmingham / World Half Marathon

 

 

Sunday 11^th October we worked with BCC and the IAAF in staging the World Half Marathon and Birmingham Half Marathon through the streets of South Birmingham.

 

On site preparation started in earnest on Friday night with a gradual implementation of road closures until 0500hrs on Sunday morning when we handed over a half marathon course to the organisers.

 

We used nearly 4000 cones, 1200 signs, nearly 3000 sand bags, 200 water filled barrier and 1k of barriers over the weekend.
